Lenticular printing is a process or combination of two or more images viewed by a specialized lens material to create the illusion of animation or three dimensions.

A Lenticular image has two components: a printed image and a lenticular lens screen. The original image is sliced by a process called “interlacing”- one slice corresponds to one image. This sliced image is then either printed on paper or directly printed on the flat side of the lenticular sheet. Precise positioning of the lens produces the desired effect of the image.

Types of Lenticular Effects…

3D  Objects within an image are layered to give the illusion of depth and perspective. Unlike 2-dimensional design, using this Lenticular effect allows graphics to appear more realistic. Lenticular 3D can be incorporated into most images or design styles

ANIMATION    With a series of images coming together to create an animation much like a short movie clip, this is the most complex lenticular effect. The illusion of motion actually comes from either a selection of video frames or sequential still images. This lenticular animation effect is great for emphasizing body movement or mechanical action.
MORPH  The conversion of one image into another is used to create the illusion of transformation. This Lenticular morph effect can be used for showcasing a product or feature that may change or create change.
ZOOM   The illusion of movement from background to foreground to create the effect of "leaping out" or "jumping back." A Lenticular zoom animation can consist of one or more objects, or even a full image. This effect works best for highlighting elements such as products, logos, or important messages.

Twist   Twist creates a distortion of the text or image and gives an excellent effect to graphic design, which is sure to arrest the attention of the viewer. Effectively used to highlight important message in an image.

Rotation  The illusion of circular movement to complete the 360 degree cycle effect. Most appropriately used to create a circular and pivotal effect for promotional and advertising campaigns.
3D & Flip     3D & Flip is a combination of Lenticular effects which gives an illusion of virtual depth and perspective along with the dramatic swapping of two images-each vanishing and reappearing from one to another. Most effectively used for demonstrating comparisons between two images or objects.
